Health Supply U.S. is proud to announce the addition of Dupont’s Tyvek® 1222A non-surgical isolation gown to our growing list of available products. This 100% American-made product is made using a newly-patented flash spinning process. This new material can be sewn into gowns to create a single-use AAMI Level 3 rated gown that offers an innovative balance of protection, breathability, durability, and comfort.
The new Tyvek gowns provide partial body coverage, and therefore are intended to be used in combination with other PPE – such as respiratory, eye, head, hand, and foot protection – based on the intrinsic level of hazard assessment associated with the necessary task. This new non-woven gown is ideal for a wide-range of environments and uses, such as performing an arterial blood draw or inserting an Intravenous (IV) line, and provides an effective barrier to particles, microorganisms and non-hazardous light liquid splash. As single-use garments, these gowns should be immediately disposed of once they are damaged, altered, or otherwise become contaminated.
